I recently read one of your articles about women over 50 and starting over. For well over 25 years I was a veterinary technician and absolutely loved my career, but I now find myself laid off after employment with my last job of 6 years, and unemployble. Nobody seems interested in my career achievements, just my age. Also I have recently developed severe knee pain that prohibits me from being on my feet for long periods of time, so I’m broke with no insurance and very very worried about my future. I need a new way to support myself and I have no idea how or what to do. I can’t afford school and my license is suspended because I could not afford to pay my car insurance anymore. So that leaves me homebound with no way to get around for jobs or anything else. I need some advice. Thank you.
